Yes, we did Disney!
Now before you go and get all excited to see our pictures I have to tell you that, sadly,
YOU HAD TO BE THERE!
To see just how excited(and by excited I mean EXCITED!!!) Joseph and Thomas looked and sounded when the first parade started at the Magic Kingdom you really had to be there. I had a front row seat to this tear jerking, mind blowing, unforgettable event....because I had to go to the bathroom and got trapped directly across the street from my celebrating family. Oh, the pure joy on their little faces and the shrieks of excitement coming from their tiny mouths!. I've tried to think about it every day since we have come home to preserve the memory...and to help block out the moments of Disney that I don't want to remember. What do I mean? Oh, you will see!
Joseph and Thomas's first airplane ride. It was funny...we packed the car and told Jospeh to go get ready because we were going somewhere really special. He looked at us all excited and wide eyed and said,
"A new Shop Rite!!!!????"
Both were very good boys on the plane!
After a long day of travel and getting settled, we decided just to tell Joseph that we flew to Florida but nothing more. The next morning Joseph found a whole bunch of travel brochures on the coffee table. We told him to look and see where he may want to go...we knew we were going to the Magic Kingdom of course! Joseph, at that point, realized that Mickey lives in Florida...HE WAS SO EXCITED!!!
Really...he was excited, I swear!
He had a hard time understanding why we had to drive there, then walk to the front gate, then wait to buy a ticket, then wait for the ferry, the wait on line to get into the park....
AND THEN THE PARADE CAME!!!
Our little dancing machine...both feet off the ground!!!
We followed the parade all the way down Main Street to the front of Mickey's castle.
And we danced!!!
Where to next Joe Bruno?
To the merry go round!
"Count me out guys."
Wait for it....
"Really Joseph?"
Mickey ice cream makes it all go away!
Yes, Joseph...we are watching you.
But apparently not close enough!
Wait for it....
He really had fun, we swear!!!
After visiting a few other attractions we made our way down Main Street to get a front row seat for the afternoon parade. This parade had ALL the characters. Joseph LOVED it. I wish you could tell from the pictures that he was nearly jumping out of his sneakers to wave to everyone that paraded by.
One last stop to complete our day at the Magic Kingdom...meeting Mickey and Minnie.
(By this point in the afternoon we were 100% certain Thomas had pink eye in both eyes!)
Pool day!!!
We decided we all needed a little break the next day so we took the boys to the pool. They LOVED it!
After spending a relaxing morning at the pool we decided to venture out to Sea World later in the afternoon. We saw some beautiful animals...flamingos, sting rays, dolphins, and "those black ones with the white dots"
(The whale show was Joseph's favorite,
although he was disappointed that he didn't get wet in the splash zone).
although he was disappointed that he didn't get wet in the splash zone).
SO, we did Disney...and Disney did us in!!! After some more swimming, a bit of shopping, and a few more tears we are all happy to be home, and thrilled to have gone. A lot of firsts, a lot of fun, and a lot of wonderful memories.
