Half Full or Half Empty

Lately it's been real is easy to be a Debbie downer.  Despicable events in life that really make you wonder where all the good has gone.  Daily routines that have become a thorn in the side instead of one of life's small joys.  Days that just want to make you give up and surrender yourself to the struggles in life.

Then you take a look in the rear view mirror and see two sweet brothers with the biggest smiles, staring into each other's eyes and holding hands as they ride merrily in their car seats.  You turn the corner and see those two sweet brothers cuddling under a blanket, sharing a snack and a movie.  You pick your head up from the dishwasher to see those two sweet brothers playing peekaboo and giggling over dinner.  You close the door behind you and turn and see those two sweet brothers kindly helping each other with their coats and sneakers.  You turn the corner into a quiet toy room after a sink full of dirty dishes and see those two sweet brothers dressed as superheros, ready to save the day.
"Mom, we have to get the bad guys now.  Don't worry, we'll save you!"

Joseph and Thomas, my little superheroes, thanks for saving me.  Thanks for reminding me to enjoy the journey and not worry so much about the destination.  Although the days can be long, the season is short.
