Summer Days

Summer has certainly begun!  We've been trying real hard to switch from school mode to summer mode...some of us are definitely having a harder time than others, especially with any "down time" during our busy days.
Swimming lessons have already come and gone...I'm happy to report that BOTH Joseph and Thomas are life jacket free!!!  Joseph swims all over the pool- underwater and on top of the water.  Most recently, he has worked up some extra courage and talked himself into jumping off the diving board...he's unstoppable!  Thomas swims all over the shallow end, both underwater and on top of the water.  His little tip toes can reach the bottom this year and he's quickly worked back to being the same little fish he was last summer.  I'm hoping by the end of the summer he'll be swimming to the ladder and maybe even take a jump or two off into the deep side of the pool.
Joseph is finishing his third week of Tae Kwon Do.  He really enjoy his time there- we've been going almost every day.  Hopefully Thomas gets up the courage to join him pretty soon.
Aside from swimming and Tae Kwon Do we've been relaxing and just enjoying our time at home.  We've had fun celebrating birthdays, Father's Day, and the 4th of July.  We've seen friends and family- the weeks are flying by.
Jon went for his first visit to the farm- he hated it.  What kid hates the farm?!?!?  JON!!!  He didn't want to touch any of the animals, he didn't want us to touch any of the animals, he didn't want to share his food with any of the animals, and he didn't want us to share our food with the animals either...needless to say, it was a quick trip.

We've also been eating many, many ice pops.  Jon likes that for sure!

So far, so fun!  And we still have a ways to go with lots more fun on tap...stay tuned!
