Jonathan is starting to really enjoy eating dinner with his brothers. We switched to oatmeal since he wasn't so big on the rice cereal and this week I made him a few side dishes....a batch of prunes and a batch of sweet potatoes. At most meals he is going after the spoon like he goes after his bottle, with his mouth WIDE open making high pitched noises of excitement.
No, we don't bother with a bib. It makes even more of a mess because he hits the spoon as he flips it up toward his mouth, sending soupy food all over the place. No, we don't have a high chair either. This little chair sits ON the kitchen table so Jonathan can watch over his brothers while they all eat together. And the best part? It fits right in the kitchen sink for a quick scrub after dinner...and then Jonathan gets a good scrub!
